Mini Minds uses Pearson's reading, writing, and grammar programmes for schools, specifically Bug Club Phonics and Grammar and Spelling Bug, which we regard as the best resources available. These programmes are designed to cater to the technological needs of today's younger generation, featuring online group teaching tools alongside a digital world of games, e-books, and rewards that encourage independent learning
Designed for primary students, this program enhances grammar and spelling skills through engaging, curriculum-based games and lessons, preparing learners for SATs with fun, interactive content.
Pre Phonics - Phase 1
For children 3 years and above. In this phase, we focus on listening, attention and conversational skills. A gentle introduction to phonics, to provide young learners with essential early literacy and language skills.
Phase 2
For children aged 4 years and above. During this phase, children will learn the first set of sounds and practise reading with short words and captions. This programme builds confidence in sound recognition and blending.
Phase 3
For children aged 4-5 years or above. During this phase children will practise reading and writing with previously taught sounds. They will progress onto reading books, where they will learn digraphs, longer words and new vocabulary.
Phase 4
For children aged 5-6 years or above. During this phase children will be learning a new set of digraphs and alternative spellings. They will be reading more challenging books and learning how to use punctuation and grammar correctly.
Phase 5
For children aged 6-7 years or above. This phase focuses on enhancing fluency and accuracy while reading. Children will be introduced to more sophisticated vocabulary and complex spellings.
